Police: Officer accidentally shoots fellow cop
SHERWOOD, Ark. (KTHV) – A Sherwood police officer was accidentally shot by another officer early Sunday morning, according to the department.
Sherwood police say two officers were responding to a disturbance call around 3 am. During the course of the incident, one officer’s service weapon accidentally went off and struck another officer.
The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries. They were not life threatening.
Sherwood police are not confirming the location of the incident or the circimstances of the shooting at this time.
